Maternity: Dena Shore

Maternity sessions are such fun to shoot because I get to feel the excitement within the expectant parents. This morning I photographed Dena and Brandon Shore whom are expecting their first child in July. They know the baby is a boy and will name him Mason. Mason will be their first child and with all new parents, there is so much anticipation and excitement going on inside.

Brandon and Dena go to church with me so this was especially exciting for me to be a part of the motherhood process.

You guys are going to make excellent parents. Since Dena is a nurse she can fix all Mason's little bumps and scraps; and, since Brandon is a teacher he can teach little Mason about life.

Congratulations you two!

Look at her tiny baby bump. Makes all expectant mothers jealous.
Love this shot.
They just couldn't stop smiling. Gitty with anticipation....
Dena forgot her baby booties and was so upset until I showed her what we had on hand. As you can see, this made her very happy.
Ok, Kim and I are off to photograph Brittney and Justin's wedding. More to come in the next few days.....

Engagements: Amanda and Cody

Amanda and Cody are getting married at the Sapona Country Club this fall, so we headed out for a fun and casual portrait session to celebrate. The late day gave us beautifully rich and saturated colors.

A few playful shots for Amanda's outgoing spirit...

One that reflects Cody's quiet nature...

And a picture perfect ending...
It was so much fun getting to know you guys better! I hope you had as much as I did. See you in October!

Bridals: Jennifer Hayes

Jennifer, her mom, and I met at Castle McCulloch for her bridal portrait over the holiday weekend. I knew Jenn was fun from our engagement session a few months ago, and her beauty was obvious. But in her bridals, this girl sparkles.

Yes, her skin really is that flawless. Not an ounce of retouching...I had so many images with smiles, but she has the most quiet grace without even trying... There's that smile... And those EYES!
She really knew how to work the camera and was a real trooper, trusting me in every shot.

Jennifer, you really do sparkle and I can't wait to capture your beauty and love for Ben on your wedding day!

Tots: McKinley Jenkins

Before McKinley was born, I photographed her mom's belly bump while McKinley was still in the womb. Today I photographed McKinley because she's 6 months old and at a really great age. I have to say that this is one cutie patootie! She has the most adorable expressions and LOVES her feet. If you don't believe me, you just have to look at the photos below....way too cute.

yummy....my feet....
Just right where I can get them.....yum, yum.....
And even more yummy feet....
And just check out these facial expressions. The one in the middle is my favorite.

Engagements: Amanda and Joe

Busy indeed! Wedding season is in full swing, and we are spending these beautiful evenings photographing many of our brides and couples. Amanda, Joe, and I took a little stroll around Tanglewood Park. We had such a good time. Amanda laughed the entire time, and with that smile, she is going to beam on their wedding day.

A little snuggle...

A little kiss...
A little conversation...
We hopped a fence for this spot. They made me do it, I promise!

And a little dance rehearsal... Joe and Amanda, you guys are just like this image...pure sunshine. Amanda's bridal session is going to rock, and your wedding at the Castle will be wonderful!

Engagements: Allison and Adam

This week has been such a busy week for me with engagement and bridal sessions gallore. I was excited to photograph Allison and Adam here in downtown Winston-Salem. Allison and Adam have a georgous wedding planned for October 18th which I will not be able to photograph but it's going to be georgous nonetheless. I'm excited for you guys.

We started out with a little dip in a cubby down the street....
Then Adam just had to walk on buy.....

I just loved the art on this wall and had to stick them up there...

Don't they make a great looking pair?
Look, I found their shadow....
Keep your eyes on the blog as I'll have more photos coming this week.

Bridals: Ashley Edney

I simply love spending time doing bridal portraits with my brides. It's a great time to really get to know them. Ashley and I met over at Magnolia Manor for her portrait session. As you can see, Ashley is stunning and really knows how to work the camera to her advantage. By the time her session was over, she was working the camera like a pro model. Big kudos goes out to her mom for being such a big help during the session.

Here are some of my favorites:

Her eyes captivate you.....
Love her soft smile....
And her big smile..........
A little "down" time.........

Lots of dancing going on and some great flowage of the gown....
Practicing some light-on-a-stick techniques I learned during a recent workshop. Look at her work the camera...
Fashion posing going on right here...........

Ashley, I had a great time during your session. Your wedding is going to be a fun one to photograph and I'm so excited to be a part of it.

Engagements: Shiloh and Bill

I met up with Shiloh and Bill over at Reynolda Gardens for a little photoshoot prior to their wedding. We were going to do the shoot downtown but there was a wine festival and they really wanted some peaceful moments together. Shiloh is a little on the shy side but you would never know it with her wonderful facial expressions. Bill knows just how to loosen her up.

The sun provided glorious shadows

Wowza, wowza....sizzling hot couple!

A smile always comes through with a little tap on the behind

Frolicing in the field with not a care in the world...

Family: De Jesus Family

Saturday was a very busy day for the Fusion Fotografix gang. I met the De Jesus family at Tanglewood Park for some family portraits. They just had baby Bryson two weeks ago and wanted to do some photographs prior to their move to Virginia.

I'm going to miss this family and Brevin's little face. Here are some photos of the gang.

Tell me this isn't a beautiful family!

Proud mama and papa with their little man....

Mr. Bryson himself!

Brevin, Bryson and Camden showing some brotherly love.

Bridal: Brittney Crotts

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting Brittney at Boxwood Lodge in Mocksville for her bridal session. She will be getting married there the end of May and it is going to be spectacular.

Not only is Brittney georgous, but she has the sweetest soul.

I just LOVE this shot.

Isn't she breathtaking?

Her hair and makeup was done by UpDo's Studio. Heather, Amanda and the gang are awesome....

I'm looking forwarding to photographing Brittney and Justin's wedding.
