For Amy...

The absolute best part of our job is developing relationships, even friendships, with our clients. The next best thing is that everything we do is about celebration, which is why this posting is so difficult for us.

One of our brides, Amy, passed away last week from cancer. If you knew Amy, you were blessed. She was pure sunshine, and her warmth touched everyone around her.

Our hearts go out to her husband Jones and her family. We are so very honored to have played a small role in perhaps the happiest day of her life.

In honor of Amy, a portion of all our 2009 Wedding Collections will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Please join our cause to help put an end to this terrible disease.

Newborns: Davis

I absolutely love photographing newborns and this little man was no exception. He's fresh out of the oven and that's the way we like them. He slept most of the time and we were able to get some really good stuff. Amy and Todd, thank you for bringing him in to see us. I can't wait to see how much he grows this year. We'll see you very very soon!

Personal: Reflections

I have had several people ask to see some personal photos of my children so I went digging through my external hard drive and found some to share. Children grow so quickly it simply amazes me. Here are some from the past 2 years....

This is my 92 year old grandmother. My son will most likely never get to know what a wonderful woman she is but he'll have a photograph to always cherish.


This is me with Isaac. He's 7 weeks old and very happy to be in mommy's arms.

In Love : Lauren and Patrick

Patrick and Lauren are getting married in Charlotte next July and they are our very first engagement session for 2009 couples. They braved a cold and windy day for their session and had no problems snuggling up! These two are adorable and so photogenic. We are so excited for the wedding!

Maternity: Emily Borden

Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Emily's maternity session. She's having a boy and is due in January. Can you believe how tiny she is to be 32 weeks pregnant? Emily and James, congratulations on your pregnancy and upcoming new addition to your family. He will be a blessing in your life. Enjoy every moment and we'll see you for some newborn photos :)
